Unfortunately you will always have haters, and ever since the internet was invented it became worse. Rumors and lies as well as slandering can be posted almost anywhere and that can give a company a hard time to evolve, but in due time if the company has a solid product eventually they will proceed with confidence and dignity. So i will say this and excuse me TMDHosting, but those that enjoy spreading lies and hide behind the computer doing it have no dignity and balls. Let others do what they need to do. vBulletin 5 is an upgraded version of vBulletin 4 which provides a lot of new features. It gives you the opportunity to create a modern community that meets your requirements and expectations. Some of the new functionalities added in vBulletin 5 are The Site Builder, new search algorithm, expanded API, responsive design and more.

The Site Builder is a new feature implemented in vBulletin 5 which allows you to make changes to the content and the look of your website without accessing the administration area. Once you have accessed the website with the administrative login credentials a top bar will appear where you will be able to activate this feature and edit the components of all pages.

All general settings can be modified from the Administration Area > Settings > Option Settings. There you can edit the Site name, URL, email address, company address, phone and other information.

If you are still working on the setup of your forums and you would like to restrict the access for the public you can easily achieve that from the Administration Area > Settings > Options > Turn vBulletin On and Off. On this page, you can also apply a custom message which will appear to your visitors while your forums are under maintenance.

Currently, vBulletin 5 does not offer such feature. In other words, it is not possible to import any forum posts, threads or members from another forum application to vBulletin.

New user registrations along with the whole registration process, including welcome emails, registration system, moderation of new members and many other options and settings can be managed from your Administration Area > Settings > Options > User Registration Options. Allowing new user registrations can be easily enabled by clicking on the Yes option in the first row and saving the changes.

If you would like to prevent bots from registering on your site, it is recommended to enable the Human Verification feature in vBulletin 5. It can be enabled from your Аdministration Аrea > Settings > Options > Human Verification Options.

Generating a sitemap for your vBulletin 5 site can be easily achieved from the Administration Area > Settings > Options > XML Sitemap. From there you will be able to generate such in XML format which is suitable for search engines like Google, Yahoo! and Bing.

Additionally, in this page, you will be able to set different configuration as per your needs. For example, you can enable automatic generation of an XML sitemap for your site, enable automatic submission to search engine sites (Google, Bing, etc.).

In vBulletin 5 you can easily enable the Spam Management feature which is located in your Administration Area > Settings > Options > Spam Management. From where you will be able to choose the anti-spam service which you wish to use (for example, Akismet) and enter the required key.
