Component in module position joomla hosting

What JHM is:

JHM is a Joomla! component/module/plugin suit, especially suited for anyone that needs to track clients and/or support requests and/or orders and/or invoices. The general label of billing manager or client manager does not really describe JHM because it performs various other tasks not found in these common packages. JHM provides additional CMS functions such as contact forms, FAQ, and much more.

hosting

It is a free component under the GNU/GPL license that was originally thought for web-hosts.

The main functionality of JHM is:

  • Present products and/or services to surfers for information and purchase.
  • During the ordering process, collect required client information, and direct them to the appropriate payment gateways (e.g. money transfer, PayPal ?. etc).
  • Send manual and/or automatic billing invoices to the client.
  • Generate account activation email for the client, to convey pertinent setup information.
  • Allow the site owner to track client information, orders history, billing history (invoices), support request history (helpdesk), email history, domains history, and more.
  • Allow the client to track information regarding orders history, billing history (invoices), support request history (helpdesk), email history, domains history.
  • Provide a means for the site owner to contact clients (all or individual) via email.
  • Provide additional modules to permit the site admin to present additional information to the potential / existing client.
  • Provide support for language files.
  • "Domain" and/or WHOIS Lookup functionality can be turned off (as can everything else except clients), which means that JHM can be used to handle other types of business.

JHM is web ware, which means that it is a set of scripts written in php that interfaces with a MySQL database and runs on a web-server under Joomla!.

What JHM is not:

JHM can do many things to help you run your business, but there are some things it cannot do. JHM is NOT:

  • A full-blown accounting package
  • A full-blown shopping kart (like VM)
  • A server controller.

If you wish to track clients, orders, invoices, payments, support requests, email communications, and notes (and domains if you are a web-host), then JHM is the component for you.

The Joomla Hosting Manager (Clients,
Order, Invoices, and Notes) component
can be used by any type of busines. It's
purpose is to present information to a
potential (or existing) client via misc
content, provide an interface for
collecting client and order information,
direct the client to a "pay link" for
billing, and provide a means to monitor
these items. The primary goal is to
provide an integrated environment in
which a client or admin can perform the
desired tasks within a single
interface.
