Living the life of christ wordpress hosting

Religion… when we hear this word some thoughts come to mind-

  • rules
  • structure
  • governing
  • control
  • guilt
  • disputes
  • requirements
  • expectations
  • judgment from other people

In our world today the word “religion” is beginning to have a very negative connotation. But why? Religions are being seen as organization or clubs that people identify with that contain a specific rule set which one must strictly follow in order to belong to that religion.

Living the life of christ wordpress hosting That is

Christians sometimes seem arrogant and “better than those who aren’t apart of our club” but this stain needs to be removed. Christianity should not be looked at as a religion because its not a religion. Christianity is a relationship, a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to die so that you could have eternal life. He came down from a throne in Heaven, to a wicked world of sin in order to save each and every one of us, so that at the end of all things we can experience true happiness in His presence. The actions of Jesus were actions of sacrifice and pure, unselfish sacrifice is a sign of true love. That is what Christianity is, it is love, love from Jesus Christ, a love that we recieve through a relationship with Jesus.

Anyone can have this relationship with Jesus, any sinner, anyone who thinks they are underserving or thinks God has turned His back on them. Anyone who is searching for something in their life to fill the hole in their heart, anyone who thinks they are alone in this world. Anyone, anyone, anyone…. Anyone can have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

You can come up with as many reasons as you want but Jesus still loves you for who you are. We are all flawed, we are people, we are sinful. Everyone has done something they regret, we all feel unworthy of unconditional love, but you know what… Jesus still loves us anyway.

Some people fear defining with a religion because they fear judgment from others, and honestly don’t we all fear judgment from the people around us in some way.

Guess what? Unlike the world, God treats people equally so we do not need to fear judgment from the world. The only judgment we need to be concerned with is God’s judgment. And there is only one way to find favor from God, He sent His son Jesus Christ to teach us the ways to live a life honoring God. Here are the most important of Jesus’s teachings-

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matt 22:36-40

Living the life of christ wordpress hosting words should express

Our commandments from Jesus are to love. Love, love is the base to relationship and what is Christianity? A relationship, a relationship based on Love. We recieve love from God and we give our love to Him. Our actions and words should express this love and we should share God’s unconditional love with those we love.

So what is Christianity? Christianity is love from Jesus Christ and our love to Him. Christianity is a relationship with Jesus, who made the ultimate sacrifice to save us from sin and death.

Remember to love others as God love us. Share love without the fear of judgment from other people, God will always love you. What better way to thank God for His love than to live your life according to His teachings.

Honoring God with your life is not an easy task. That is why I started this blog, to help those attempting to live a life honoring God. Hopefully something I have posted on this blog will help you in your life journey.

We are not just given complete happiness and peace. It is a reward to us for our faith. God will reward you for your faith in Him. As believers in God we are tested to stay strong in faith. The Christmas season may be an easy time of the year to live out your faith, but it is the difficult times of the year that we must be strong in faith. So remember throughout these Holy days (holidays!) that your strong faith must remain steady through the years. Trust and believe in God, be filled with hope, grow stronger in faith and live a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus. Be peaceful and content with life and God’s many blessings.

Pray this prayer for the people you know who are in need of salvation (so actually, pray this prayer for everyone on this earth, for we are all in need of salvation)

“I pray that God, who gives hope, will bless everyone this Christmans with happiness and peace. And may the power of the Holy Spirit fill all with hope so that people will realize Christ’s love for humanity is the source of all happiness, peace and hope. For it was God’s love of humanity that brought His son Jesus to earth as a baby in order to live among us and bring salvation to the lost.”

It has been a long time since I have given thought to this blog and honestly I thought that phase of my life was over but the good Lord has directed my path back to spreading His word to those with a patient ear.

The ideas of these posts are focused on living your life through the teachings Jesus expressed in the Holy Bible. I know my life has not been lived according to his will but everyday I struggle more and more searching for the peace that Jesus gives. I feel as if by spreading the Word and helping to teach others, I am helping myself learn and grow in faith.

I do not mean to start disputes but welcome an open discussion of faith because I believe a way to grow stronger in one’s faith is to talk about it and have it tested.

So to revitalize this blog I would like to remind us all of God’s great forgiveness.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

– Don’t forget to acknowledge your sins: God is all knowing, so we cannot hide our sin from him. But we can be honest with God when we sin. When we admit our sin to God and truly repent from it thus recieving the gift of His grace.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 )

When we become anew in Christ; whether you are a new believer, or you suddenly hear God calling you after a long absence, He welcomes you with open arms and wipes away your sin. The Holy Spirit will guide you in your journey to live a life that reflects the Word of God.

A prayer for forgiveness;

Dear God, I have strayed from the path, I have walked alone, I have cursed Your name and shamefully disobeyed. But I have realized that life is not something to be lived alone, I need You in my life, to fill this hole in my sole, but I am not worthy. So many times I have knowingly turned my back on You and lived by my standards. I wish to live a life honoring You, and though I don’t deserve it, I pray for some guidance from You, because I know I cannot turn my life around by myself. Please forgive me, I beg of it, for I am ashamed of myself and I need Your love in my life again. I will always be unworthy of Your love and I will always be Your servant. Amen

Love covers over all wrongs. –Proverbs 10:12

Christ gave you His life, His body and blood. Remember His sacrifice and recieve His gift, for He waits for you in His kingdom. Repent your sin and be welcomed into Heaven with open arms.

Lord Jesus, in this time of Lent I remember Your sacrifice and recieve Your everlasting gift of life. Amen

Matthew 1:23 — “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”

Never be lonely for Jesus Christ is always with you. He is called Immanuel, “God with us.” Not just with us here on earth as He was, but with us in our hearts. So whenever you feel alone and think no one cares, remember… Jesus is always with you, caring for you and loving you. With the Savior inside your soul you will never be alone.

Lord, I thank You that You are always here with me. I need You in my life everyday and when I am worried, You settle my fear because I know that You are here to guide me. Amen
